Skagen
Here on the northern narrow tip of the peninsula Skagens Odde there's so much to see and do. The yellow houses with white "lace" roof-decorations in Skagen, the fisherman atmosphere in Aalbæk's harbour, 'Den Tilsandede Kirke' (The Buried Church) and the fascinating nature: The migrating dune 'Råbjerg Mile', the large birds of prey in the wild at 'Eagleworld' and the sand-spit 'Grenen', just north of Skagen, where the waters of Skagerak and Kattegat meet and you can place a foot in each sea.
The distance between the western and the eastern coast is only a few kilometres. On the east coast, you will find that the sea is gentle and the beaches are child-friendly. The west coast is a bit "wilder", great for bathing and perfect for surfing. All beaches in this area have Blue Flag certificates.
