Sæby area beaches

The popular beaches at Sæby

The shallow water is perfect for children playing with water. On the beach they can build sand castles, find sea shells and maybe a piece of amber. The Sæby beach lies very close to the town centre – you just pass a stream on a small bridge and then take the beach promenade. Here you can relax at the beach, watch the ferries to Frederikshavn come and go. At the same time you are near Sæby centre’s restaurants and shopping.
Dogs on a leash are allowed on the beach.

In Lyngså the Sønderklit beach is child-friendly with beautiful, soft dunes. The beach is known for its fine white sand and has a Blue Flag certificate. Here you can find amber, especially after a day with strong winds from southeast. The beaches from Sønderklit to Stennæs are suitable for angling.
