Beaches in the Frederikshavn area

Wonderful white beaches

Along the coastline from Frederikshavn to the north you have plenty of wonderful beaches to choose from. In the northern part of Frederikshavn city there actually is a palm beach.
The palm beach project started as a ’silly’ idea in 2004, and now the beach is transformed every summer – with palm trees, ball game courts, grill area and a beach bar.
North of Frederikshavn lies Strandby, a small town with a fishing port and a lovely marina. Near Strandby you find child-friendly beaches with shallow water and gentle waves, for example Bratten beach and Jerup beach.
