What to Bring

We recommend bringing:

  • Health insurance card

  • Rental confirmation – as it contains information about check-in, key collection, and contact details

  • Bed linen – alternatively, bed linen and towels can be purchased from us for 125 DKK per person. This includes a fitted sheet, single bed linen, one large and one small towel, and one tea towel.

In addition, guests must bring:

  • Bed linen and towels (if not ordered through our agency)

  • Cleaning cloths, tea towels, and dishcloths

  • Cleaning supplies

  • Toilet paper and bin bags

  • Baking paper, aluminum foil, etc.

  • Dish soap and dishwasher tablets

  • Firewood for the wood stove

  • Basic items such as salt, pepper, spices, oil, and vinegar

Note: Some of these items may already be available in the house, but this cannot be guaranteed.

 

Booking and Payment

How do I make a booking?
You can book directly through our website. Select the desired holiday home, dates, and number of guests, and follow the payment guide.

When is my booking confirmed?
Your booking is confirmed once you have received a confirmation email from us.

Which payment methods do you accept?
The rental can be paid by credit card when booking online, or by bank transfer. We accept MobilePay for consumption charges at departure.

When do I need to pay?
25% of the rental is due 10 days after booking. The remaining amount must be paid no later than 8 weeks before arrival.

Can I change or cancel my booking?
See our rental terms for details on changes and cancellations. We always recommend adding one of our cancellation insurance options. Terms are available on our website.

Arrival and Departure

When are check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 3:00 PM, and check-out is no later than 11:00 AM – or 10:00 AM if final cleaning is booked or mandatory.

In weeks 27–35
Check-in is from 4:00 PM, and check-out is no later than 10:00 AM – or 9:00 AM if final cleaning is booked or mandatory.

How do I receive the key to the house?
You will receive information about key collection in your confirmation email.

Can I arrive earlier or check out later?
Early arrival or late departure can often be arranged for an additional fee – please contact us for available options.

However, this is not possible in weeks 27–35.

The Holiday Home

What does the house include?
See the specifications of each house on the website.

Are bed linen and towels included?
Guests must bring their own towels and bed linen. Alternatively, linen packages can be rented from us, which include single bed linen, one large and one small towel, and one tea towel – for 125 DKK per person. The linen is placed in a linen bag before departure.

Is there a cot and high chair?
A cot and high chair can be rented from us for 125 DKK each.

However, many houses include this as standard equipment. Check the facilities for details.

Is there internet in the house?
Yes, almost all of our holiday homes have wireless internet.

Are pets allowed?
Some houses allow 1, 2, or 3 pets. Check the rules for each house.

Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is not allowed indoors in the holiday home. If smoking outside, cigarette butts must be removed.

Is the final cleaning included?
Some houses have mandatory cleaning, which will be shown before booking. Other houses offer it as an add-on.

What do I need to do before departure?
In the arrival envelope, you will find a cleaning guide showing what needs to be done before departure. This applies to guests both with and without final cleaning.

Can extra cleaning be ordered during the stay?
Yes, contact us for prices and options.

When is the latest I can order final cleaning?
Preferably 3 days before departure.

Insufficient cleaning upon arrival
Please contact us immediately if you discover insufficient cleaning upon arrival. The emergency phone is open until 20:00 every day. The number is printed on the key envelope.

Is consumption included in the price?
Some houses have a fixed consumption surcharge that is paid together with the accommodation. This will be clearly stated before booking the holiday home.

For other houses, consumption must be read from meters. Please see the house description.

How do I read the meters?
Information about the meters can be found on the key envelope provided upon arrival.

Damages and Liability

What should I do if something breaks?
Contact us immediately so we can assist or send help.

It is up to the owner to decide whether to claim compensation for damaged property.

Who do I contact in case of urgent problems?
Contact our duty phone, which is open until 8 PM after our normal opening hours – the phone number is on the key envelope. Our opening hours can be found on Feriehuse.dk.

How is the deposit handled in case of damage?
The deposit is only withheld in case of damage or insufficient cleaning, according to the rental agreement. The deposit applies to selected holiday homes and is stated at the time of booking. The deposit will be refunded within 21 days.

Waste Sorting

How do I sort waste at the holiday home?
At the holiday home, there are waste containers divided into different categories. Please follow the signs on the containers and sort according to the indicated types.

Glass must be disposed of in the designated glass containers in town – typically located near a supermarket.

Deposit bottles (pant) must be returned at the deposit machines at the supermarket.

A waste-sorting brochure will be provided upon check-in.

Pets

Bringing pets (dog or cat) is only allowed if stated in the holiday home description. Dogs must be kept on a leash. In some properties, cats are not allowed. A pet fee of 300 DKK is charged at booking.

The pet may not be left alone in the holiday home. Before self-cleaning or booked cleaning, the tenant must remove dog hair and other traces from the property, including floors, furniture, the building, and the grounds. Pets are not allowed on furniture or beds. No other pets are allowed in the property beyond the pets approved by the tenant. Violation of this rule will incur a fine of 1,500 DKK.
