In most cases you have the choice of doing the departure cleaning yourself or to pay for professional cleaning. It is optional whether you want to make the final cleaning at end of stay or whether you want to let us handle the cleaning.

Ordering professional departure cleaning. In busy periods we cannot guarantee professional departure cleaning for everybody who wants it – so please book professional cleaning as early as possible – preferably when booking your holiday home.

Mandatory professional cleaning

Some rental contracts come with mandatory professional departure cleaning and in this case you pay for cleaning when your holiday home is booked.

Prices

The cleaning price depends on the size of the house and whether it’s a house with spa or pool. Please contact your local tourist office to hear about the price of the particular premises and to order final cleaning.

Check list for departure cleaning

See what you have to do if you wish to clean the house yourself or if you order cleaning.

If you choose to do the cleaning yourself, we kindly ask you to use the checklist below on departure in order to ensure that guests arriving after you will also enjoy a good start of their holiday.

Living room and bedrooms

• Air the house out
• Place all furniture as it was on arrival
• Remove bed linen and deliver it to the tourist office
• Vacuum clean mattresses, fold duvets and pillows and put them on the beds
• Check that all doors and windows are closed
• Wipe down all furniture and surfaces
• Vacuum clean furniture and floors
• Wash the floors
• The wood-burning stove must be emptied

Kitchen

• Wash up all tableware and put it in its proper place
• Empty and clean the refrigerator and freezer
• Empty the dishwasher
• Remove waste and bottles
• Empty the bin
• Clean the oven/microwave oven
• Wipe down all surfaces
• Wash the floor
• Clean the cupboard below the sink

Bathroom

• Clean the sink
• Clean the toilet
• Clean the shower cubicle/bathtub/spa
• Clean the taps and mirrors
• Wash the floor
• Clean the sauna
• Remove waste
• Empty the bin

Outside

• Pick up rubbish and cigarette butts
• Place the garden furniture as it was on arrival
• Remove any dog droppings

If the house is not left in a clean and tidy state, the tourist office can charge an amount to cover this. If a deposit has been paid, this amount will be deducted from the deposit.

In the event of departure when cleaning has been ordered, please carry out the points below prior to departure.
